Hello,

i have an issue, i work in an organization were every body has a different drive name:

example: Z:\HR_Secured\Daily Reports (new)\Daily Call In Power Bi\Daily call In (BI).xlsx this is were i have my power BI files store, my colleague this more ning could not refresh my BI report because , of the drive name his drive is : D:\HR_Secured\Daily Reports (new)\Daily Call In Power Bi\Daily call In (BI).xlsx. so how can we have in BI have a file name just \HR_Secured\Daily Reports (new)\Daily Call In Power Bi\Daily call In (BI).xlsx so that everybody can refresh the data, without having the issue of " file not found"

However I like to just use a matrix with conditional formatting espcially now you can colour the text the same as the background to just give a colour block.

my main issues are:

. My heat map on excel each row has different excel workbook link to it.  how can I have the same  links with BI?

. When i export the heatmap table it does not export the links

. my company wanna be able to have at all time an updated heatmap using BI, by linking all excel worksheet to it. please help

I don't think this will be possible with powerbi.

Why do you want to move this to powerbi?

to securely share it with management, do you have any other suggestion, they wanna have thst information all the time, on their phone.

Are you using the cloud version of Powerbi?

If so you can connect excel to a powerbi data source in the cloud.

You could then create something in excel that does what you need based on your powerbi data.

Having it on their phone is a different problem. Not sure if you can link to an excel and show it even if it wasnt a heatmap.

Where is the excel? in sharepoint/offfice 365?

Maybe reproduce the excel linked data in a powerbi as well.

You can do drill through from a matrix (not at cell level but row or column) if you have an id/key/name that can be used to filter another report page. However I don't know if drillthroughs are on the mobile app.
