Data source changed and Power BI does not update

Hi,

I have made some changes to the Excel data source file (added 2 columns and changed some column titles) and now my Power BI file displays errors. How can I make the corrections or edit the Power BI file to accommodate the changes I have made to the source file?

    Hi  Anonymous ,

     

    When making PBI files if the database (in this case excel file) changes you need to go back to the query editor and change the column names that you have because when you refer to certain columns they are "hard coded" in the steps you have.

     

    Start in the Source line of the query editor and check what are the column that are making the error and change the names of those columns on the formula bar to the new names.
