Data pulling through as blank for one year only
Hello,
I am struggling with an issue whereby i have 2 tables in excel with identical products.. one for 2024 and one with 2025 so far.
The 2024 one pulls through and reacts to filters perfectly, however 2025 table is pulling all data through as blanks except for a couple. Both tables are identical in formatting and identically set up in Power BI.
I have tried all remedies i can think of but making no progress.
The relationship seems to be fine. Try to check if the column 'Product' in the two Units tables presents the same values. Sometimes there can be a space after the end of the word or before and so on.

Hi FinlayJ, it seems like 2025 recognized all the numbers as blank. Have you checked the relationship with your Dim_Product table?
Your model should be composed by two fact tables, and then both of them should have a relationship with a calendar table and a dim_product table. Then u can use product from dim_product in your PBI visual.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. I'm unsure why they are pulling as blank. I've attached a photo of my relationships between tables as i believe it to be correct.
Thanks.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but what do you mean by related?

Hi,danextian and MattiaFratello ,thanks for your concern about this issue.
Your answer is excellent!
And I would like to share some additional solutions below.
Hello,FinlayJ .I am glad to help you.The final results returned by a measure in Power BI are dependent on the integrated computational environment.
Both external filters (including field filters for slicers and visual) and filters within measure affect the final output.
Therefore, you need to check the problem from two major aspects.
1. Check from the measure itself. Check whether there are any problems with the filter conditions in your measure, whether there are referencing errors (incorrect table column names), whether the table filter range inside the filter function is correct (although this is very unlikely, but I hope you check your dax code).
From the external filter conditions, check whether your filter area set some filter conditions, whether the slicer is incorrectly affect the results of the measure2. Check from your original data. Check whether there are null values in the 2025 data, or the data is ignored due to relationship filtering. (This is also a suggestion mentioned by other users)
About how to check if the data is normal, I hope the following issue can help you.

I would suggest that you focus on storing the 2025 data in Power BI Desktop and filtering the data along the lines of what issue provided above to check for missing data (not just checking the original data in excel).
This may be tedious, but it can be the most intuitive to find the problem, if there is corresponding to the original data, then it can be reflected from the side of your measure or external filter conditions may be a problem.
In addition, about related function, it can be used to check the related data, you can through the output to determine whether there is a target field related data

At the same time need to pay attention to:
related function in the case of creating a relationship can only be filtered from multiple ends to one end of the data, you must make sure that the data is unique.
If you want to filter from one end to multiple ends need to use relatedtable function with selectedcolumns
