Data loads in Desktop but not Service

As you can see in the second image, my data loads perfectly fine in PBI Desktop. I can filter it all I want and there are no issues. However, once published to service I get these errors. Sometimes, the "An exception occurred due to an on-premise service issue" also reads the "Query has exceeded the available resources" error too. Why is this and more importantly, how do I fix it?

Thanks for the reply from suparnababu8  and lbendlin , please allow me to add some more information:
Hi  @JackFrench ,

Have you installed the gateway correctly and configured the information about the data source to connect, if not, you can check the following link to understand how to add the data source to the gateway:

Add or remove a gateway data source - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Move to larger SKU which has higher limits on Max concurrent DirectQuery connections (per semantic model) as per https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/enterprise/service-premium-what-is#semantic-model-sku-lim...

Here's another solution for a similar error message, hope it helps:

An exception occurred due to an on premise issue - Microsoft Fabric Community

On Prem SQL Analysis Service Timeout, Slow respons... - Microsoft Fabric Community

Hi @JackFrench

  1. If you are using any text data types in the columns try optimize that measures. It'll take so long time to process and get this error.
  2. Use best practices for modeling your data. Avoid complex relationships and use calculated tables instead of calculated columns when possible.
  3. Review and simplify your queries to reduce memory consumption. Remove unnecessary columns, filters, or transformations

What is "Service" ? A Premium SKU? Fabric? PPU?
