Hi all,
I have appended a direct query (Today) and import table (Last 6 days) into a new table (Today+Last 6 days).
My question is now, how often will the new Today+Last 6 days table update?
The table's 'Storage mode' is set to 'Import', and can't be changed so I assume that it runs accordingly to the refresh schedule set on the Power BI Service?
Even if the underlying direct query table (Today) will update every time the user changes anything or hits refresh.
Hi Mholsen,
The report will update according to the refresh schedule you've set for this dataset. If the user will press refresh in the power bi report, this will not cause an execution of the query to the database. But if the user has the ability to go into the tab datasets and the uses the option 'refresh now' the dataset will be refreshed regardless of the refresh schedule.
Cheers,
Mauricio
Thanks for your answer.
For import tables you are right, but for direct query hitting the refresh button should cause a refresh on from the data source.
