Data load on Switching pages (tabs)

Hi there!

When I switch the pages on my report, the data is automatically reloaded. Is there any way to avoid this behavior? I want to load the data only once: when I open the report. Is it possible?

Thanks in advance!

I'm fairly certain that is a feature to prevent everything from having to be loaded and rendered when you open up a file, resulting in very long file opening times.

I don't think this answers the question, if I'm reading the thread correctly; and I have the same question. On app.powerbi.com, where my workspace is, when I switch between tabs in a report, the data reloads; my best guess is that the data updates from SAP; and even if it doesn't, if I toggle between tabs, a tab I previously viewed takes 30 or so seconds to fully render, even though I was just using it before I used another tab. Is there a way to remove this render time when switching back and forth between tabs?

Hi,

I have the same issue. I use python visuals and every time the user switch between tabs the visuals are re-loaded/re-calculated causing waiting time for user. I ahve disabled the auto-refresh page but still the same.

Any idea?
