I created a combo column and line chart. The measures used for both are dynamically formatted.
To my surprize, when I use these measures for data lables, the dynamic formattig does not work! Formattig works fine else where, even on a normal column chart!
The strange thing is the absence of the Display Units field which has to be set to None in order for the dynamic formatting to kick in!
This field is available and dynamic formatting works fine in a column chart using the same measure! See below.
I tried to change the visual to a column chart aiming that the Display Units field appears and I can set it to None them revert to column/line combo, still it did not appear!!!

Hi @AhmadBakr ,
Here I create a sample to have a test.
In my sample, dynamic format will work untill I set the Display units from AUTO to NONE.
This is by design. You can refer to this offical blog to learn more details.
For reference: Create dynamic format strings for measures in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
You can download the latest version of Power BI Desktop and try again.

The ONLY workaround I could find, is to start with a column chart, do the data lable settings, then change it to combo.
I hope PBI development team reads this and fix it in the next release
