Data in visual not matching data in model : how to clear cache?

I have data in a pivot table and it is NOT matching the data in the underlying model.  All the rows but 1 are correct.  That same incorrect row was previously different in the underlying data but was updated when I did a refresh.

It seems like the data refresh is showing up in the data sheet view in PBI Desktop but when I go to the table layout visual, the visual is not updating with the new data.

Is there a way to clear all the caches or rather all the loaded data?

I went to File->Options->Data Load-> and clicked Clear Cache

However, that did not seem to remove any of the loaded data in the model, nor did it correct the visual showing old data.

Any suggetsions?

Thanks!

  • Hi , OneWithQuestion

Can you tell me the data source types and connection mode?

Maybe you can take a try to clear  and reload your data source permisssion.

In addition ,try to rebuilt  your table layout visual after data refresh.

As far as I know ,the other most direct way to clear cache is to uninstall and reinstall your PowerBI desktop(it's a joke😅).

Data source is to SQL Server 2016 and it is a custom query that imports the data into the model.

I'll try the steps you suggested and post back...it is so very weird.
