Data Subtotals issue

Hi,

 

i am trying to create this

 

in power BI. I have created a table but im not sure how to add the subtotals. I tried using a matrix instead but it doesnt show the data in tabular form. Any ideas. so far i have

    GarethParry , the first column in the matrix visual should be states and then the distinctions should be added. It should be in a way that when state is expanded other values become visible. Other issues can be resolved by formatting the visual in visualisation pane.
