Data Source Link Changing
Hi DLB13 ,
Your local .pbix file can not access your colleague's local data source, so you need to change the data source.
Method1:
Let your colleagues upload data source files to the cloud, such as OneDrive for business, SharePoint online...
Method2:Copy the local data source file of your colleague to your local and change the data source like jdbuchanan71 said.
Or you can collaborate in Power BI Service, but you can not model in PBI Service.

In the .pbix go to File > Options and Settings > Data source settings.
In there you can right click on the data source and choose 'Change Source'
Then put in your updated file path that you want to use.
Thanks for this! I'm not sure this will work for a sharepoint file, though, as I don't put the link to the full sharepoint source in there. I have to put the parent folder as the source, then find the correct file as a part of the query. Again, I can certainly just reconnect everything, but I'm hoping there is an easier way.
