Data Refresh & Templates in Power BI Desktop
Hi All thanks for reading this - I wonder if you could help. I am new to the Power BI software but love the dashboards I can now create, but Excel allows me to input and update data easily, but ...
If you can use onedrive for business/share point that will be great, yes schedule refresh is part of powerbi service.
if you want to use share drive where your excel file is then you need to powerbi gateway.

Wow thanks for the quick response. That is what I need, so if I publish the new data onto sharepoint or one drive, power bi can use that? Can this look at a shared store folder instead??
Is this via the desktop software or via the web based side of things?
