So I recently got this weird problem, basically whenever I try to load data from an excel file I get this weird but and am unable to load anything.
Other computers on the company are having the same problem, no one is able to do anything with the BIs anymore, tried to move the files to other plaves, to the computers itself instead of the Drive... Same problem. We need the Power BI working properly here to work but nothing is working, what the hell is happening??????
Thank you.
Hi @RenanLS ,
Please ensure that all computers experiencing the issue are running the most recent versions of Power BI Desktop and Microsoft Excel. Power BI Desktop is updated monthly, and using the latest version can often resolve unexpected issues.
Download Microsoft Power BI Desktop from Official Microsoft Download Center
Since you've mentioned trying to move the files without success, it's important to confirm that the Excel files are not corrupted and are accessible. Try opening the files directly in Excel on the affected computers to ensure they're not corrupted.
If your Excel files contain complex models or connections, there might be compatibility issues. Review the data model and connections within Excel to ensure they're supported in Power BI.
And since the issue is widespread across multiple computers, it's worth checking if there have been any recent changes to your network configuration or file permissions that might be affecting access to the data sources.
If these suggestions don't work, could you please provide a little more detail? Where is your Excel located on your computer? Locally or in the cloud? How did you connect Power BI to Excel, direct import or some other operation like data flow?
Best Regards,
Dino Tao

Hello, thank you but it didn't help yet. My Power BI is the newest one, I deleted and downloaded it yesterday and, just to make sure, did it again today, same problem continues. The problem persists with any excel file, all of them were working fine with BI and have no problem whatsoever, I try and try to load them and always get this problem. What is happening?
Thank you.
