Data Mapping in DB
Hello,
I have 2 tables.
For 1st table (Table name: ORIGINAL),
| opportunity # | Amount | Date |
| 1 | 124 | 01/18/19 |
| 2 | 65 | 02/22/19 |
| 3 | 646 | 04/04/19 |
| 4 | 6449 | 09/08/19 |
| 5 | 494 | 09/12/20 |
| 6 | 64 | 12/12/19 |
| 7 | 65 | 06/18/19 |
| 8 | 99 | 07/30/20 |
| 9 | 8798 | 05/05/20 |
| 10 | 516 | 02/12/20 |
| 11 | 99 | 12/25/22 |
For 2nd table (table name: TARGET),
| Date | amount |
| 01/01/19 | 2461264 |
| 04/01/19 | 6566 |
| 07/01/19 | 61199 |
| 10/01/19 | 263126 |
Expected Result:
Quarter/ Year | Amount from ORIGINAL | Amount from TARGET |
| 2019 Q1 | sum of amounts fall in this quarter | 2461264 |
| 2019 Q2 | As above | 6566 |
| 2019 Q3 | As Above | 61199 |
| 2019 Q4 | As Above | 263126 |
I have tried sevaral times to connect two tables with 'Date' but not getting results in quarter. I will really appreciate for any help on thi. Thanks in advance!
