Hi Team,
I am using powerbi desktop . as i tried to import an excel file it is opening a window and stucking . its not loading the data .
and sometimes it is not displaying the main interface options such as import.
please provide a solution for this.
Try to use the previous version, it will works..
ha, I thought it was just my machine! I would do the same to force close it and restart.
please give any ideas to resolve this
@tajshaik When this happens to me ( and it happens pretty frequently these days it seems ) I have to open Task Manager and kill every Power BI process. Then I restart Power BI and it generally works for a while, until it decides to do it again for no apparent reason.
@Greg_Deckler Even i did Task manager thing . Even after restarting the app it didnt work. Any other ideas how to resolve it?
@tajshaik Are you on the latest version? Try turning off all of the Preview features. Restart computer.
yeah i tried everything but its not working.
Hi @tajshaik ,
First, please check if your computer can fulfill the following minimum requirements to run Power BI Desktop:
If the above one is OK, could you please try the following steps?
1. Update the version of your Power BI Desktop to the latest one
2. Please prepare a excel file with small size data or TXT file, then try to load the file into Power BI Desktop. Later check if it can be loaded successfully
3. Try to load the excel file into Power BI Desktop using other person's computer
Best Regards
it is showing white page instead of showing options in the middle
Hi @tajshaik ,
What's the version of your Power BI Desktop? Could you please share the excel file which you loaded into Power BI Desktop? Later we can try to load it in my side and check if it can load successfully or not...
