Data Label color based on Bar color

Hi,

I would like to implement a conditional colors of Data Label, but the condition is not based on value or aggregate, rather the color of the bar.

For example, I want to get the Label in white if I have black Bar,
Label in orange/yellow if I have plum or berry Bar.
etc. etc.

Is that possible in PBI ?

You can change the color of the label to whatever you want with the following steps

Select the chart you want to adjust. Go to visualizations tab and select format visual. Scroll down to data labels. Under Apply settings to, select from the drop down the series you want to modify. Under the values, change the color to what you want

Hi @Saniat ,

It's not possbile to set the color of the data label based on the color of bar in the bar chart.

You could submit an idea for the unsupported feature and vote for it: https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/.

As a workaround, you may change a visual like the table visual to change colors.

@Saniat , You have option of color and fx(conditional formatting) under data label. But that work on the grand total. not on value of each bar

I have applied same conditional formatting logic for bar and label, but all labels are of same color
