Data Column Linked to Date Table

Hi,

I'm new to Power BI and have picked up the management of an existing report from a previous employee. I have an issue I'm completely baffled with so hoping someone can kindly help.

Basically, we have a table visual containing various bits of data, and I can clearly see within the columns section which data columns are being used - except for one. One of the columns has been renamed, but when I hover over it to se where it's pulling from, it appears to just be 'Date Table'[Date].  This appears to just be a standard measure -

Date Table = CALENDAR("01/01/2022",TODAY()). Yet the data being pulled through into the table is a specific date that relates to each row of data shown.

I have looked extensively through all the tables and measures and relationships etc. and I cannot for the life of me see how the Date Table is linked to the specific date column, but there must be something somewhere for it to pull through the specifc dates.

Does anyone have any ideas how this could have possibly been set up?

Hope that all makes some sort of sense, and thanks in advance for any assistance.

Adam

  • That would be a question for your data model. Check if the calendar table ("Date Table") is connected to the rest of the data model.

      Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Yeah, unfortunately I can't see any connection or relationship between the Date Table and the specifc date field. The model view show no link to any other tables:

I didn't know if there was any other way this could be connected that I'm missing.

      Thanks
