Dashboard
Hi I would like to share dashboard with colleague, But I don´t want to give him any access to database.that i use for my dashboard.
He will use only what is visible in dashboard
So data sets and reports will be empty.
Hi pstanek,
Could you please mark the proper answer as solution or share the solution if it's convenient for you? That will be a big help to the others.
Best Regards!
Dale

Edit the dashboard tiles. Check the box for "Set Custom Link" then in the box for External URL, paste the URL of the dashboard you're on. Go down to the "Open custom link in the same tab?" section and check Yes. Now if the user clicks on a tile, it will just reload the same dashboard again instead of redirecting to the report backend.

Hi pstanek,
Everyone who you share the dashboard with can view it and interact with the reports in Reading View. They see what you see. They can't make any changes or create new reports. So they don't access the database. Please reference this documentation for more details: powerbi-service-share-unshare-dashboard.

1. Everyone you share your dashboard with can see it and interact with your reports in Reading View. They can't create reports or save changes to existing reports.
2. No-one can see or download the dataset.
3. Everyone can manually refresh the dashboard data.
Best Regards!
