Dashboard in Power BI desktop

Can I create a dashboard in Power BI desktop? If not, what it (Power BI) is for then?

Y not ? 

But here they called as report.

In power BI Desktop we can create the Report with different visuals.

One we done , we can take needfull  visual and create a dashboard in Power BI Cloud ( Power Bi Services) to tell story to client.

Ok, fair enough. Why then after creating "report" in Power BI desktop and publishing it it appeared as a report in Power BI Mobile?  How I would get a dashboard there?

To get a dashboard from the reports, you choose the most useful or impactful visuals from your report and "pin" them to a dashboard (that you create by pinning). The pin button is on the top right of the visual and is shaped like a pushpin. You can also pin entire pages.

The reason dashboards are not just the full on report is that dashboards are supposed to be quick to access and lead to the report for more robust details. Kind of like the teaser trailer for a movie.
