DMV DISCOVER_CALC_DEPENDENCY "Unsupported dependency node detected"

Hi,

I'm trying to use the model documenter https://data-marc.com/model-documenter/

and the following query SELECT * FROM $SYSTEM.DISCOVER_CALC_DEPENDENCY fails. I've tried the same query in DAX Studio and find the same issue:

"Unsupported dependency node discovered"

I've traced it back to any queries that used parameters for SQL server and database names.

let
    Source = Sql.Database(#"Azure SQL Server",#"Azure SQL Database"),
    dbo_vw_myview = Source{[Schema="dbo",Item="vw_myview"]}[Data]
in
    dbo_vw_myview

If I replace the parameters with the actual strings for server and database then it works.

Surely parameterising the server and database name so that you can update this in one place is a good pattern?

Is this a bug or am I using a bad pattern?

Kind regards,

Brian
