DAX statement to SUM filtered values
Solution SageYou do not need a DAX to get the SUM of filtered values. A slicer works for any/all visuals on a report page.
You just need a Card visual next to your stacked column chart visual (on the same page). Refer this:

Thank you Tarun. I learnt something new from your reply (the Ask a Question feature) but unfortunatly this does not solve my query.
I have now applied a Page Level filter to my categories to negate the need for a Slicer. I presume that whatever I add to the Page now will ignore the categories I have filtered out.
So, I would like my Card to show the sum of the 4 bars shown in the bar chart which I know equates to 1928.
Please help or advise if my understanding of the capability is incorrect.
