DAX query and Matrix visual showing different results

Even if you are not explicitly using rounding functions, DAX might still display rounded values due to the following reasons:

1. Implicit Conversion and Data Types

2. Floating-Point Arithmetic Limitations

3. Display Formatting: The way DAX displays numbers can also create the illusion of rounding. By default, DAX might show fewer decimal places than the actual value stored in memory.

Here's what you can do:

1. Check Data Types: Ensure that the columns involved in your calculation are of appropriate data types like use Decimal or Double for high-precision floating-point numbers.

2. Explicitly Control Formatting: If you need to display the full precision of a number, use formatting options to specify the desired number of decimal places using functions like "FORMAT".

3. Use the Decimal Data Type in Calculations: If you require very high precision, consider performing your calculations using the "Decimal" data type, which offers greater accuracy for decimal numbers compared to floating-point types.

4. Nature of Floating-Point Numbers: Understand that floating-point arithmetic inherently involves some level of approximation. If absolute precision is critical, consider alternative approaches or libraries designed for high-precision numerical computations.
