DAX and Filters
I'm a seeking input on 'best practices' for getting to the following -
I have loaded an Excel table to PowerBI desktop.
I've created a few measures (Average Wait Time, Average Number of Incidences).
I've created a Table for time based on - Solved: Slicer with time - Microsoft Power BI Community
Function Need:
The average wait-time for a day of the week.
- For example, the wait-time for every Monday for specific month, for quarter, year, year-over-year for four consecutive years.
A filter for average 'Wait-Time' for a specific day.
- For example, if I want to know the wait-time for every December 31 or a given year, and December 31 looking back over all
years.
Identify outliers such as holidays, super bowl, that may impact 'Wait-Time'.
I can start with a card with the aveerage 'Wait-Time' in it. I chart/graph is also desired.

The beauty of measures is that they work for the "current filter context". So one measure can cover all these variations.
