Customize the Power BI KPI Visual

Hello All,

 

To what extent can we customize the native Power BI KPI visual?

Can we change the color of the callout value?

Can we change the icons to green and red up and down triangles?

Can we change the background color depending on comparison of goal and target? 

 

Trying not to create a custom kpi visul as the dashboard has many many tiles and and lots of data and performance is a consideration.

    You can't customize very much with the native KPI visual. It'll auto-color red or green depending on it being above/below the goal. 

     

    What you can do, though, is disable the callout and icons, then create your own with a card visual and place it over the top. Then they will look like they are part of the same visual... ğŸ™„

     

    Make sure to set the background on the card to transparent.
