Hi
I need help with customizing the tooltip when hovering over the row data column in the matrix visual. I have figured out to do custom tooltips through a report page and assign it to the value data on the matrix visual, but that doesnt work on the row data.
I cannot post the real data i work with due to privacy reasons, but i will make up an an example.
The dataset is as follows:
Continent | Country | Capital | Inhabitants | Area |
America | Canada | Ottawa | 150000000 | 50000 |
America | Mexico | Mexico City | 100000000 | 30000 |
America | USA | Washington DC | 300000000 | 45000 |
Europe | Germany | Berlin | 80000000 | 10000 |
Europe | Denmark | Copenhagen | 5000000 | 1200 |
Europe | France | Paris | 60000000 | 8000 |
Asia | Japan | Tokio | 120000000 | 17000 |
From this i create a matrix visual showing the continent and country as rows and the inhabitants and area as values. And then i want to show the capital as a tooltip when you hover over the country.
Right now it just shows the standard tooltip. And as I said I have figured out how to customize and even make a dynamic tooltip for the Inhabitants and Area Columns. Any ideas?
I think I can help you with this @leifstar81 - do you have a sample PBIX you can send?
@leifstar81 , What I got is that you do not want to pass a few values to the tooltip page(it should not filter). Then you can switch off the option - Keep All filters. And in the below box drag all columns you want to filter
Ehm, I am sorry but I don't understand. In the picture below it shows the Tooltip when I hover over Germany. The tooltip also states Germany. But I want it to say Berlin.
