Welcome to Power BI. You need to learn to write some DAX. Is your data at a year level, or lower level? Either way, create a calendar table at the same level or granularity as your data. Read about calendar tables on my website here
http://exceleratorbi.com.au/power-pivot-calendar-tables/
Take note of the section titled "How to use a Week or Month Calendar". If your data is in yearly buckets, you will write a formula as a "year calendar".
There red is a lot to learn, and there are a lot of things different to Excel. You may find my book useful. http://xbi.com.au/learndax
