Custom Visuals company wide usage

Hi there,

Is there way to find out the usage of a particular custom visual under the same domain? I read somewhere that the usage of the custom visual will be registered for the server-side usage, but not sure where to find that.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @dmkblesser ,

In Microsoft Power BI, you can view the usage of a custom visual by going to the "Manage Custom Visuals" page in the Power BI Service. To access this page, log in to the Power BI Service, click on the "gear" icon in the top right corner, and then select "Manage Custom Visuals".

On the "Manage Custom Visuals" page, you will see a list of all the custom visuals that are installed in your organization's Power BI tenant. You can click on a particular custom visual to view its usage data, including how many times it has been used in reports and dashboards, and by which users.

Keep in mind that the usage data for custom visuals is only available for the server-side usage of Power BI. It does not include usage of custom visuals in Power BI Desktop or in other client applications.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
Henry

I have never heard of what you are describing! I also cannot find it...

Generally it is really hard to figure out which custom visuals exist in a tenant.

I just wrote a blog post about it with some solutions:
