Custom Visual - Infographic Designer - Changing Background colour
- 1 year ago
Hi Anonymous
If the white areas remain visible even after disabling the background under General > Effects, the issue is likely related to elements rendered within the Infographic Designer visual itself, rather than the outer visual container. In such cases, check the visual’s internal formatting settings such as the fill color of unit shapes, category backgrounds, or other embedded elements and adjust them to match the report’s background or increase their transparency. Adding a full-sized rectangle shape within the visual and sending it to the back can also help mask any internal white areas. Additionally, ensure the visual is properly resized to eliminate unintended padding or margins to minimize the appearance of white edges. If these adjustments do not resolve the issue, it may stem from the way the Infographic Designer visual is rendered, in which case the visual’s internal canvas may not support full transparency.

Welcome to the Microsoft Fabric Forum. Also, thank you BhavinVyas3003 and JoBI for your quick response.
To resolve the issue of the persistent white outer background in the Infographic Designer custom visual in Power BI, you can modify the container settings of the visual instead of relying solely on design elements within the visual.
Specifically, select the Infographic Designer visual, navigate to the Format pane, expand the General section, and go to Effects.Under the Background option, you can either turn it Off to make the visual background fully transparent, allowing it to blend seamlessly with any report page background, or turn it On and set the background color to match your report’s theme. Additionally, adjust the transparency slider if needed to achieve the desired level of opacity.
