Custom Sorting for rows and columns for matrix
I have built a matrix that tracks specific KPIs over a specific time range along with ordered measures.
To do the ordering i had to use a "#-" naming convention (see image). I want to get rid of the "#-" but i want to keep the ordering of the KPIs, timeframe, and measuring intact. Is this possible and if so, how do i go about?

Yes, you can remove the #- prefixes from your KPI names and still retain the custom sort order using Power BI’s Sort by Column feature. I have tested it using a sample table, and the clean KPI names are now sorted correctly in the desired order.
Go to Data view and select the KPI_Display.Then ,click on 'sort by column' option in the ribbon.Select KPI_Sort.Please refer the screenshots and file for your reference:

Hi, For the sorting of columns you can create another column, which will contain only index. Then use Sort by another column.
For Measures, you can create a Field Parameters and then sort the measures.
