Custom Power BI Visuals in Government Community Cloud

Hello, 

We have a Power BI tenant in GCC and are trying to understand if custom visuals from the AppSource gallery that require purchasing user licensing would work for us? I have read Microsoft's documentation stating that custom visuals are not supported in GCC because the Independent Software Vendor would not be able to manage their licenses - is this true for all visuals?

What about visuals that offer organizational use vs. a limited amount of user licensing.

Hi @chrnew -Custom visuals requiring user licensing are typically not supported in GCC tenants due to compliance and licensing management challenges.

Thank you - I heard back from Microsoft. Custom visuals are supported in any environement type, its the ability for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to administer and manage their licesning in the AppSource market place that is not supported. This requires working with the vendor directly to buy and manage licesning should you need a custom visual.

Hi @chrnew - You're absolutely correct! You can use custom visuals in GCC, including certified and non-certified visuals.For visuals that require licensing, you will need to work directly with the vendor outside of AppSource to purchase and manage licenses.Thank you for sharing the confirmation from Microsoft.
