Custom Filter Pannel Over lapping with Page Widget

HI,

I am working on creating a report where I have made a collapsible Filter panel, and inside the panel, I have a few slicer dropdowns. I have two issues for which I cannot find a solution or resolve it.

1.  When I open the filter panel and select try to apply the filters, the Data in the table on the report changes, but as soon as I close the filter, the table data changes to the default data. It does not retain the filter parameters. Please refer to image.

2. Another problem is that when I apply filters and click on the table behind the filters, some filter slicers overlap with the table in the reports. Please refer to the image below. This is happening is I hover over on the table and goes away as soon as I move away from the table.

I would appreciate the help.
