Hi All
I've created the below measure to show me the current month % of 1 of my values but I'm not skilled enough to get the PREVIOUS MONTH to work and keep getting an error (which I've lost now as my laptop froze whilst frantically trying to save another file before the battery died!)
%Extreme = DIVIDE(CALCULATE(COUNTROWS('Sample Data'),'Sample Data'[Impact Rating]="Extreme"),COUNT('Sample Data'[Review ID]))
1. is it even possible to just include the PREVIOUSMONTH function anywhere in this measure (if so where)?
2. if not, is there a smarter way of calculating the % for the previous month still using the same choices above?
Thanks for any help
Dan
Create a date calendar and join with date of your table. Then you can use previous month or any other time intelligence functions
last MTD = CALCULATE([%Extreme]),DATESMTD(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,MONTH)))
last MTD (complete) = CALCULATE([%Extreme]),DATESMTD(ENDOFMONTH(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,MONTH))))
last year MTD (complete) Sales = CALCULATE(SUM([%Extreme]),DATESMTD(ENDOFMONTH(dateadd('Date'[Date],-12,MONTH))))
To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s.
