I was asked to provide the desktop that I would want to use for PowerBI. I use a standard office pc now. I have been using PBI for 3 years now. I can’t do too much to speed up my connections to my data sources. I would like the better possible option to increase my calculation speed when the data is loaded and i am working with transforming the data. I don’t know if there is an out of the box desktop model that is good? Budget less than 5k.
Sincerely,
Martin

I am using a 16GB Intel Core i7, 8th gen laptop
My Power BI reports run slowly and freeze frequently, even though I have good specifications on my PC. What can I do
Processor: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1265U 1.80 GHz Installed RAM: 32.0 GB (31.7 GB usable)

This is what I am reading in the blogs. If dealing with a large data set, transformations and calculations. It is better for focus on a faster processor than cores, solid state RAM with 64 gig or more.
I am looking for really good to great performance. I have a desktop that has a Xeon W-2102 4 core w/ 128 gig ram it is ok. several years old. I looking for specs that would enhance / speed up the time that I am working. I dont know much about pc specs any more.
