Currency format in a measure that switch between columns

Hello,

I have two columns EUROS and USD , in order to make the same report for both currencies I created a custom measure that switchs between EUROS and USD.

However this measure does not show the original format from the columns, in case the EURO should be € and USD should be $ , it only shows the format the switch measure has.

I have tried with Format in the switch measure but i can't make it work.

Is this possible ?

Thank you very much

@Anonymous , agree with @parry2k . I feel like I've been down this path numerous times and if you want to keep it as a numeric number I think the last time a lot of us beat our heads against the wall and couldn't find a solution.

@Anonymous

Your actual requirement is very much similar to calculation groups in SSAS. But as of now, we don't have that feature in Power BI.

Another option is, you can append the currency symbol and it will become text type. That will work with table/matrix visual. But it will not work with other visuals.

@Anonymous you can surely use FORMAT function to get the respective symbol but it will make your measure a text measure instead of number measure, are you ok with it?
