Cumulative Measure that starts over each year

Hey Everybody! I have a matrix with the below cumulative measure and the values continue to compound year over year. Is there a way to modify this DAX to restart in a new year?

RUNNING_TOTAL_RECEIPTS_LOCAL =
CALCULATE(
SUM('PS_MMC_BNK_BAL_RPT2'[RECEIPTS_LOCAL]),
FILTER(ALLSELECTED('PS_MMC_BNK_BAL_RPT2'),
'PS_MMC_BNK_BAL_RPT2'[AS_OF_DATE] <= MAX('PS_MMC_BNK_BAL_RPT2'[AS_OF_DATE])))

@danielhough when you working with dates, as a best practice to add a calendar dimension in your model and then use that for date calculations, you can add one following my post here Create a basic Date table in your data model for Time Intelligence calculations | PeryTUS IT Solutio...

And then you can simply create a measure

RT = CALCULATE ( SUM ( Table[Value] ), DATESYTD ( 'Calendar'[Date] ) )
