I'm wondering if anyone could help me figure out why this is happening when I use left anti join but not with other joins?

As the official document said, this problem happens when you're connected to a data source, but haven't set up the credentials or connection details yet. It can happen when you migrate queries into a dataflow.
Below is a workaround provided in this similar thread, and I suggest you always use the latest version of PBI.
