Creating slicer with last month and current month

Hi Community,

Is it posibble to create a date slicer with the last month and the current month measures? I need to show May 22 as the current month. How can I bring two measures together for the same slicer?

Tumbleweed_0-1652925000175.png

I used the following DAX functions for finding last month:

IsLastMonth =
IF (
    YEAR ( Table1[End Date] ) * 100
        + MONTH ( Table1[End Date] )
        = IF (
            MONTH ( TODAY () ) = 1,
            ( YEAR ( TODAY () ) - 1 ) * 100 + 12,
            YEAR ( TODAY () ) * 100
                + MONTH ( TODAY () ) - 1
        ),
    1,
    0
)
and
Last Month Year = If (
[IsLastMonth] = "Yes"
,"Last Month",
[Mon Year])

For curren month:

IsCurrentMonth = IF ( YEAR ( Table1[End Date] ) * 100 + MONTH ( Table1[End Date] ) = YEAR ( TODAY () ) * 100 + MONTH ( TODAY () ), 1, 0 )

and
Current Month Year = If (
[IsCurrentMonth] = "Yes"
,"Current Month",
[Mon Year])

Thank you!

@Tumbleweed , You can use use a column in date table for slicer

Month Type = Switch( True(),
eomonth([Date],0) = eomonth(Today(),-1),"Last Month" ,
eomonth([Date],0)= eomonth(Today(),0),"This Month" ,
Format([Date],"MMM-YYYY")
)

Standard time intelligence measure should help

This month = CALCULATE([Net],DATESMTD(ENDOFMONTH('Date'[Date])))
MTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD('Date'[Date]))

last year MTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD(dateadd('Date'[Date],-12,MONTH)))
Previous year Month Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),previousmonth(dateadd('Date'[Date],-11,MONTH)))
last year MTD (complete) Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD(ENDOFMONTH(dateadd('Date'[Date],-12,MONTH))))
Month behind Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Month))

You can also get using meausre if no date is selected

This Month Today =
var _min = eomonth(today(),-1)+1
var _max = eomonth(today(),0)
return CALCULATE([Net], FILTER('Date','Date'[Date] >=_min && 'Date'[Date] <= _max))

Last Month Today =
var _min = eomonth(today(),-2)+1
var _max = eomonth(today(),-1)
return CALCULATE([Net], FILTER('Date','Date'[Date] >=_min && 'Date'[Date] <= _max))

use all when date is not in range

This Month Today =
var _min = eomonth(today(),-1)+1
var _max = eomonth(today(),0)
return CALCULATE([Net], FILTER(all('Date'),'Date'[Date] >=_min && 'Date'[Date] <= _max))

Last Month Today =
var _min = eomonth(today(),-2)+1
var _max = eomonth(today(),-1)
return CALCULATE([Net], FILTER(all('Date'),'Date'[Date] >=_min && 'Date'[Date] <= _max))

You are the best!! The switch & eomonth functions worked as a charm. Thank you!!
