Creating hierarchies (dragging and dropping) stopped working for some bizarre reason

Ok I all I am trying to do is to drag and drop one column onto another to create a hierarchy and it isn't letting me do it. I get a circle with a line through it indicating it isn't possible   Anyt...

Ok so this has come back, when I try and drag and drop then I get a circle with a line through it. It isn't the connection type (am not a live connection). I just entered data into Power BI manually to try it. I disabled all of the preview features and uninstalled / installed - this is getting pretty frustrating!

Hi,

 

I'm no expect but i had this issue and found a work around that helped me.

Instead of using the drag drop method, i instead would right click the field i wanted and select "Create Hierarchy", and any additional field i wanted to add i would right click that and select "add to hierarchy"
