Creating app for writeback doesnt connect to PBI columns

Hi guys, 

I add apps to my reports for write back comments alot.

all of a sudden the PowerBIIntegration.Data doesnt seem to connect to the report.

I add the app visual to a report, add the fields i need and select creat new app. 

it opens app studio and builds the app just with a screen.

i add a gallery and point it to PowerBIIntegration.Data

when i add a label and the code ThisItem.

usually at this point it will let me select the field from a drop down. there are none

Before, when app studio opened, it used to add the gallery automatically and have a label connected by default. this way worked.

How can i set the default gallery to be added by default? think that might solve my issue.

But i do need to know why it wont connect

any idea?
