Hi!
So I have a Comments Table that looks like this:
Date | Category | Notes | Date & Notes ID |
1/1/23 | ABC | TEST1 | 1/1/23ABC |
1/1/23 | DEF | TEST2 | 1/1/23DEF |
1/2/23 | ABC | TEST3 | 1/2/23ABC |
I have the same Dates & Notes ID in my sales fact table and my hope is to show that note only if the date and category are the
same.
Example:
Filter = ABC
Date | Note | Value |
1/1/23 | TEST1 | 1000 |
1/2/23 | 2000 |
What happens is:
Date | Note |
1/1/23 | TEST1 |
1/1/23 | TEST2 |
1/1/23 | TEST3 |
1/2/23 | TEST1 |
1/2/23 | TEST2 |
1/2/23 | TEST3 |
etc,..... | |
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!
Hello @HD001 ,
Can you please confirm that we have a relationship created between the two tables based on Notes ID ?
Hi Muskan, yes that is correct. I have a relationship between the DIM Date table, DIM Category table to the fact table.
