Creating a dashboard with multiple datasets foreach company

Hello fellow power bi users, so I have a power bi dashboard that I want to use on 2 different companies, where each company has a unique dataset. I don't know if I should make an account for every company, because my main objective is to update the dashboard once and every company sees it with the dataset of his company. Also the companies have different permissions so one company can see one window but the other one can't.

Focus on the point that I want to update the dashboard only once, not make another copy for each company every time I have to apply changes to the power bi.

Thanks in advance

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Hi, this didn't solve my problem but with the help of a coleague and the info from microsoft https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-report-lifecycle-datasets I know how to do it now. You can create dataflows for each company connecting the database with the pb, then you connect each dataflow with the pb empty, without data, so the pb fills with the data of the dataflow that you want. You put each dataflow/pb in a workplace and then you give each company acces to just the pb + dataset with only the permissions that you wanna give them.

Thx anyways for the help!

Hi, so I will be making a lot of changes to the report, one week maybe they can see visualizations based on sales, the next one they will change to accountant visualizations and so on.

I don't wanna change the report everytime for each company, that's why i need to come with a solution, but i don't know how to do it while each company has a unique dataset.

is there a reason why you want to refresh only once ?
