Hello Power BI enthusiasts,
We currently have a Excel based Becnhmarking report, where the user select an organization, year and a Range. Each organization have a certain number of manufacturing locations, and the goal is to compare these locations with a comparison group of similar tonnage produced.
The filters organization and year, populates data in columns related to that organization. In the example below, we selected organization A, and manufacturing plants A1 and B1 shows up in the report with their production information. The next step the user select Total tons manufactured Range, which populates the Comp Group column, which is an average on other manufacturing facilities from other organizations.
In Power BI report builder, I was able to create two parameters Organization and Year, and create a matrix to populate the correct data for the plants, but I am not able to add a data range as parameters, and only connected one column in the matrix to be impacted by the Total Tons Range and not be impacted by Organization and Year.
Is is possible to create within the same matrix columns that are connected with different parameters? thank you in advance for your time.
Hi @gusdcruz ,
Please try the following methods and check if they can solve your problem:
1.Create a new parameter.
2.Verify that the dataset field are correctly placed in the rows and values area.
3.Ensure that parameters are correctly linked to the dataset.
4.You can also view the following links to learn more information.
