Create several color models depending on a reference table
Dear PowerBi community,
I would love to be able not to have to recreate each time the color scheme I need for some of my datas and to be able to reuse them for future analysis in New PowerBI.
Examples:
when I use my list of age group, I would like to have a specific color for each of them.
when I use a community list, I would like to specify for each of them a different color gradient depending on where they are situated etc.
I have a reference table for both of them, and I added a column with the color reference, but I am struggling in linking them with the fx (in fact, I don't even see the fx sometimes).
Does anyone already created reference colored table to get systematic coloring in their graphs? (or any other way to do it systematically :))
Could you tell me what's the best route to do it?
Thanks a lot for your help!
Nathalie

Thank you Parry2k, nice videos. I haven't had the chance yet to apply it in my dataset, but I am looking forward to try it!
Have a great day,

Hi Perry,
I looked into the solution you proposed, but my color is not dependant on a measure but on a stable column data. therefore I am not sure how to create the VAR_Color measure that I will be able to use then...
I am really a beginner...
See below. I have a simple table with color reference and NomRTS.
I have a transaction table that is linked for the NomRTS.
I would like the legend of the graph below to take the color of my reference color...
Is it possible?
