Create custom column identifying max value per id

Hello,

 

I am trying to flag the most recent date per ID using a custom column.

 

Example as below. I want to mark the rows that have a red dot.

 

I can't use the group by function because I want to retrive another column value and then I cannot extend the table since I am in direct query mode.

 

Could you please help me?

    Hi ABLRP ,

     

    Based on your description, you can create the following virtual table:

    Table 2 =
SUMMARIZE (
    'Table',
    'Table'[PN M],
    "Last_date",
        CALCULATE (
            MAX ( 'Table'[Date] ),
            FILTER ( ALL ( 'Table' ), 'Table'[PN M] = MAX ( 'Table'[PN M] ) )
        )
)

    ABLRP , then you have create a measure

     

    maxx(filter(allselected(Table), Table[PN M] = max(Table[PN M]) ), [Created Date])

     

     

    Logic of column is too complex to have it in direct query

    There is no way to do it by creating a column? I basically want this coulmn to be able to filter out all the dates I don't need and keep only the most recent date per PN M.
