Create an accumulated value

Hi,

I want to show an accumulative value in my Line and Stacked column chart.

X axis - Dates

Y-Axis - Values

Line - Accumulated for each day

Also, can I make it dynamic? I tried making an accumulated column in excel but when i used it in power BI it does not change values when I'm using slicers.

@HersonD , Create that column in Power BI and if you want it to be dynamic use what if parameters

Hi, @HersonD

Based on your description, I created the following dataset:

vjianpengmsft_0-1731376288415.png

First, create the following two measures:

Values per day = SUM('Table'[Values])
Accumulate per day =
VAR _date = SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[date])
RETURN
SUMX(FILTER(ALLSELECTED('Table'[date]),'Table'[date]<=_date),[Values per day])

Create the following two charts and slicers:

vjianpengmsft_1-1732087086827.png

vjianpengmsft_2-1732087103051.png

Modify the slicer time range and find that you get the correct cumulative for each day:
