Create a category column based on column names

I'm working on a data file that has details of different types of deductions for example pension contributions, taxes etc. Each of this deductions is a column in the data file with their respective values. I would like to create a category column that groups different deduction types in one class for example columns relating to national insurance contributions and tax will be categorised as tax deductions etc. See some dummy data snapshot

Hi @Anonymous 

I think you will achieve by using unpivot option in Power Query editor.

If you see dummy data as mentioned below..

Then you need to perform Unpivot action by selecting columns. Now you'll get output as mentioned below.
