Create a Variable in a table column from a drop down list

if this is what you want what i did is
- just drag and drop the percentage column to a slicer
- create a matrix table
- in matrix table format visuals i made layout style as outline and switch off sub total
- changed format of the percentage column to text
This was a solution I presented to the business area, however they want it at the individual line item. The projects will be in different areas of the country so rates could be different and that's what they want to capture. In my example the different color lines are different projects and they selected different rates.

Your initial requirement is sorted now, right? In my previous comment, I provide the solution for "need help with a dropdown to select the Projected Inflation amount from within the table."?

Sorry if my question wasn't clear or examplt. Each project can have a different rate therefore I need the ability to change it at the line item within the table.
