If you are first Import and then apply filter, then in your Import step when you have already imported all the data in the database, but the requirements of the question stem should be to minimize the amount of data imported to optimize performance, that is, in the Import step before you have to apply filter, it can only be in the connection to the data source when the application of SQL The only way to optimize performance is to apply SQL when connecting to the data source to restrict what data needs to be imported.
