Copy data from excel into BI
Hi,
i want to copy more than 3000 cells into a power bi table.
How can i do that?
Is there a way to connect data (Data > Excel) and then leave data static in?
Thanks
After you have imported the Excel spreadsheet, then click on "Edit Queries".
From there, right click on the excel spreadsheet, and remove the check that says "Include in report refresh"
This should change the excel data to static data.

You are sure, the field is unchecked?
I have just tested it from here, and my BI report is still functional after i have deleted the Excel File.

This doesn't seem to work anymore, I keep getting errors that other queries are failing because the source document is unavailable despite "Include in report refresh" definitely being unchecked.

Hi,
I'm not sure I understand your problem could you develop ?
Using Get Data>Excel does not get you what you want ?

Hi,
I am having the same problem, I have a static table that I require (more than 3000 cells) but even when I mark the table to not be included in the refresh it still fails.
Any suggestions?
