Copy and past data to excel

Hi, in the latest version of Power BI desktop - Version: 2.141.1253.0 64-bit (March 2025) -

Within the table view, when I apply a filter to a table, then copy that data and paste it into Excel, the data is not coming filtered to Excel, this did not happen in the previous version. Could someone help me?

Hi @Filipe_Santana -You're experiencing an issue in Power BI Desktop version 2.141.1253.0 (March 2025) where copying filtered data from the Table view and pasting it into Excel results in the entire dataset being pasted, ignoring the applied filters.

Hi @Filipe_Santana ,
Thanks for using Microsoft Fabric Community,
The issue seems to be fixed in the April Update Version: 2.142.701.0 64-bit (April, 2025)
I have tested this in the updated version and it worked for me
1. Initial table while applying filters

vveshwaramsft_0-1744366855128.png

2. After filtering and copying as table

3. Pasted in Excel

As you can see from the above screenshots the pasted table is obeying filters in Excel.

So please update to the latest version and try again. Hope it works.
If you installed desktp from Microsoft Store the updates happen automatically.
Else you can install using this link: Download Power BI | Microsoft Power Platform

If the issue persists even in the updated version, Please reach out.
