Copy and Paste a visual

At one time I could easily copy a visual and paste it. Now its not allowing me to paste. On the visual I right click, select copy and then select copy visual. I click paste and nothing happens. Any ideas for a new user?

that works for me. try Ctrl + V instead of paste button 🙂
